In October I returned to Windrock with the Yahoo XJlist for a three day adventure that included camping. My best friend and I made a dry run to the Windrock Campground to get everything set up for the group. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. In fact, they set us up across the creek to have our own area to camp. This included plenty of room for all the guys who brought their rigs on trailers. The rules at the campground are very fair and simple. Once you arrive there you know you will be taken care of.

Camping there was great and peaceful. Rules are that at night noise has to be kept to a minimum for everyone. The speed limit is pretty much at idle speed for everyone's safety. Restrooms and showers are kept very clean. Cabins are available as well as RV hook ups and places just for tents.

The cost is very affordable and quite reasonable. If you want a safe place to be, Windrock Campground is the place to go. The Campground is just a very short distance on a paved road from the trails. During the day the Snack Shack is open for business. Convenience stores a within a few minutes drive for gas.

So if you are looking for an exciting adventure with a nice place to stay, go and visit Windrock in Oliver Springs, Tennessee!

We stayed at WRCG for 5 days at the end of June. It rained 3 of the 5 days and the water was not standing in the area where we camped. We stayed in a tent by the creek and it was a wonderful experience. Gary has a beautiful campground and Gene does a great job keeping it in shape. The bunk houses are nice and will sleep 6. Everyone was helpful and friendly  . The showers were great and had plenty of hot water. Quiet time was enforced and we were not awakened once by burnouts. There is a speed limit of 5mph in the campground which is nice if you have children with you.

We stayed at the Windrock Campground this past weekend and it was great. We had a great spot that never got sunny and hot. Missy and Gene were the nicest people and make sure that everything is clean and taken care of. NICE HOT SHOWERS!!! They strictly enforced the quiet time and speed limit! Very Nice & Peaceful place!!

We always stay there. Gary has a pretty nice place. Hot showers, ice, fire rings, fire wood, and its quiet. No burnouts outside your tent like sometimes happens at the trail head. Its a cheap alternative to the motels and you don't have to trailer your quad to the trails.
